Opportunity:

Air Pollution Monitoring

Summary:

Collect data on the spatial and temporal variation of a variety of motor vehicle exhaust pollutants in neighborhoods near highways in Boston. Use the data to produce a series of pollutant-concentration maps, which will be used by collaborators at the Tufts medical school to estimate exposure and possible health effects among exposed populations.

data collection, calibrating and maintaining the monitoring equipment, producing accurate and precise pollutant maps for the months of June and July that show temporal variations in pollution levels throughout the day, explaining results and their significance to community partners in an August meeting
