Opportunity:
   Acoustic Holography on Violins
Summary:
Our goal is to use multiple microphones to measure how the surface of a violin behaves as we change the location of the sound post. The position of the sound post (a small post under the right leg of the bridge) can have substantial effects on the sound of an instrument and our goal is to try and determine why it makes such a difference. The main goal of this summer's work is to sweep an array of 10 microphones across the surface of a violin and map out the radiativity of the violin as a function on the sound post position.
